Samsung's head of marketing Lambro Skopidis has resigned from the company after holding the role for just under four years.

The resignation takes effect on 1 December 2011 and Samasung has commenced a search in Australia and overseas for a replacement.

In the meantime, all corporate marketing is being handled by Jai Sanderson, corporate communications manager.

Skopidis started with the company in May 2008. During his time, the brand locally has grown 55% in awareness terms, and by 140% in brand preference according to Samsung's own research.
