Brace yourselves Holt Street: Rupert Murdoch is to make his first post-News of the World scandal visit to Australia this month.

Murdoch will make his annual pilgrimage to News Corp's Australia outpost shortly after The Australian launches its game-changing paywall model. News Corp hasnt confirmed the date of the launch yet.

Rumours are swirling that Murdoch will make sweeping changes to the Australian operation, with management changes in the offing.

The News Corp boss is also expected to turn his attention to a potential rebrand of the News Limited moniker. 'News Australia' is one name under consideration.

The annual visit normally falls before or after the News Corp AGM, which will take place in Los Angeles on the 21st October. This year, Murdoch will fly down under after the AGM and will be in Australia on 4 November for the News Awards.

Stephen Browning, director of corporate affairs at News Digital Media and The Australian, confirmed Murdoch will visit News Limited at the end of the month.
