REA Group has announced the appointment of former Australia Post and Microsoft marketing exec Tracey Fellows as CEO.
Fellows most recently held the position of executive general manager of communication management services at Australia Post.
Previously Fellows was Microsoft vice president for the Asia Pacific region based in Singapore, overseeing sales, services, and marketing for 12 countries in the region.
REA Group Chairman Hamish McLennan said: “We believe that Tracey is the perfect fit for the company and we look forward to seeing her apply her leadership experience as we navigate through the next evolution of our business.”
Fellows said that the prospect of leading one of Australia’s most successful digital businesses was a unique opportunity.
“I’m delighted to have the chance to work with the team at REA Group. The company’s success in the digital arena is unrivalled and I look forward to contributing to the further growth and development of the business both domestically and internationally,"
She will replace interim CEO Peter Tonagh who has held the role since March 2014 when previous CEO Greg Ellis departed.
Fellows will start at REA Group in September 2014.
