OMD picks up Heinz account

OMD has picked up the Heinz media account following a global pitch.

It is understood OMD/OMG has picked up the business in all markets outside of the US, where IPG Mediabrands' UM will handle the account.

The business locally was previously handled by Dentsu Aegis' Vizeum.

In Australia, Heinz's estimated main media spend was $3.1m according to Nielsen data for the year to April 2014. That figure includes activity for Golden Circle, Greenseas, Weight Watchers as well as Heinz products.
