Tabcorp has expanded its media business with OMD and handed the agency its paid search and social media account.

OMD is already responsible for the brand's media strategy, planning and buying work.

OMD won the paid search and social media business through a pitch process and replaced E-channel. The agency claimed the account is worth $2 million.

Tapcorp head of digital marketing Sascha Hunt said: “OMD impressed us throughout the pitch process with their depth of online and social media capabilities. They demonstrate a genuine understanding of our customer base, coupled with a real rigour and passion to drive our growth in this space.”

OMD Australia chief executive Peter Horgan said: “We see great growth opportunity for brand innovation in this space.”
