Paul Fishlock is seeking almost half a million dollars from his former employer The Campaign Palace.

Former Y&R Brands chief executive Nigel Marsh is expected to give evidence for Paul Fishlock today, the second day of hearings in which Fishlock is suing his former employers, The Campaign Palace.

Marsh and former The Campaign Palace Melbourne creative director Brent Liebenberg were both subpoenaed by Fishlock's camp and is expected to take the stand after lunch today. Fishlock was cross-examined by the defence, Y&R's barrister Arthur Moses, yesterday afternoon, and will continue to be questioned this morning.

Marsh was chief executive of Y&R Brands Australia and New Zealand until his resignation in July 2010. Liebenberg departed the agency in May 2010.

Fishlock is suing Y&R Brands for almost half a million dollars after he was replaced as executive creative director of the now-defunct The Campaign Palace by Reed Collins in January 2011.

At the end of the proceedings yesterday at the state Supreme Court, the judge, Justice John Sacker, strongly suggested both parties seek to settle the matter outside of the hearings.

There has been a court-ordered mediation session in the past but no resolution was reached.

If no early settlement is reached, the hearings are due to run until 21 February.
