News paywalls set for June launch

By Brendan Coyne | 5 April 2013

News Limited looks set to erect broader paywalls around its content as early as June, AdNews has learned. Under the News+ banner, the firm will attempt to make people pay to access content across four verticals: sport, finance, food and lifestyle.

The details follow news this week that the company had registered a domain for the forthcoming News+ hub.

However, it is not yet clear how far the paywalls will go nor what kind of content may be reserved for paying online customers. The company has remained tight-lipped on precise detail and timings.
