Match Media will be responsible for both online and offline media for the brand.

Independent agency Match Media has scooped Toshiba's media buying account from Maxus following a competitive pitch.

Toshiba Australia national marketing manager Mariana Thomas said Match Media's team showed "amazing passion and depth and breadth of experience".

"One of the criteria we were looking for in the new agency was the ability to demonstrate an understanding of our market and our business and to present a holistic approach with effective and innovative ideas across all types of media," she said.

"I would like to thank Maxus for working with Toshiba over the past five years and we wish them well for the future."

Match Media director James Simmons said: "We are delighted to be working with Toshiba. Over the pitch process we became infected by their passion and the innovation that has driven the Toshiba business. We look forward to bringing those values to life in media."
