Sensis Digital Media (SDM) general manager Mark Shaw will be leaving Telstra following the telco's restructure of its advertising arm.

Shaw will leave on 1 November after four years with the company. He joined Telstra in November 2007 and was promoted to SDM general manager in 2009.

Following the restructure which resulted in the formation of Telstra Advertising Network (TAN), Shaw has been focusing on the transition of SDM into Telstra. Shaw has previously worked for DMG Radio and Buspak.

Shaw said: "I've had an incredible four years with Sensis and Telstra and I'm really excited about what the future holds for the Telstra Advertising Network team. My decision to leave the business comes after an intensely busy period this where I have had the opportunity to achieve a lot of professional goals."

Telstra Advertising Network general manager, Michael Padden, said: "Mark has played an integral role in establishing the new TAN business. We are now in a position to become the digital advertising market leader across sport, mobile, IPTV and Mark has played a crucial role in getting us to this position. We wish Mark every success with his future endeavours."

Shaw has yet to announce his future plans.
