L'Oreal's media business is up for grabs, AdNews can reveal. It is thought that the incumbent and two more agencies are on the shortlist for the account.

The business is worth in the region of $30m. UM is the incumbent and had won a contract extension for 2013. Now the French-owned cosmetics company is deciding whether to award the business to Carat or PHD, or stick with UM, AdNews understands.

A decision on the business is likely to be made by the year-end.
