Hallmark Cards writes with Naked

Naked Communications has picked up the Hallmark Cards Australia business following a competitive pitch, with a major national campaign to go to air in the lead-up to Mother's Day.

The global greetings card company is gearing up for a big marketing push in 2014 with Naked to handle all communications efforts.

Hallmark Cards Australia head of brand Estherina Daniel said: "We’re excited about our plans for 2014, and delighted to be working with the team at Naked Communications to make them a reality. We loved their energy, their passion and their smarts, and look forward to building our partnership."

Naked Communications Melbourne managing director Tom Ward said: "We've all experienced that moment where we find that card that perfectly expresses how we feel about someone special – and invariably, the logo on the back of the card is Hallmark. We’re thrilled to be working with Hallmark to help even more Australians find the perfect way to express how they feel about someone."

Newly appointed CEO Carl Ratcliff told AdNews recently that it was time for the repositioned creative agency to turn a profit and that "clever media planning is something you can't survive alone on these days".

The win of Hallmark follows Kinetic Super in December.
