George Weston Foods bakery brand Golden has appointed Archibald/Williams as its creative agency following a three-way pitch.

The agency was been tapped to work across strategy and creative for the brand. There was no incumbent agency on the account.

Golden products include crumpets, muffin bits, pikelets and pancakes. Golden is part of George Weston Food's Tip Top umbrella.

Golden marketing manager Barry Clare said: “With renewed investment in the Golden brand we're really excited to work with Archibald/Williams to help the brand grow and maintain its iconic status.”

Archibald/Williams partner Bram Williams added: “Golden is an Australian classic and this is a great opportunity to spark up the latent love for the brand."
