Market speculation is mounting about a race between two agencies for the giant Woolworths creative account.

With a decision expected within weeks, numerous industry sources have suggested the agencies leading the process are Droga5 and Ogilvy.

A decision has yet been made, and some have said incumbent agency M&C Saatchi may still surprise, but the two dark horses Ogilvy and Droga5 have made a strong play.

Woolworths declined to comment on the creative pitch.

Woolworths estimated main media spend was $88.3 million in the 12 months to October 2011, according to Nielsen.
