Defence Force pitch down to two

The battle for Defence Force Recruiting's creative and digital account has been whittled down to two. Incumbent George Patterson Y&R Melbourne will face off Havas for the business, AdNews understands.

The two agencies have made the final round in the pitch process which kicked off in March.

Eight agencies from Melbourne and Sydney were originally shortlisted for the account. Presentations took place in July.

George Patterson Y&R Melbourne has had the Defence creative business for more than a decade and the digital duties since 2010, when the account was last reviewed. Since winning the digital portion, the agency has significantly beefed up its digital capabilities which now encompasses more than half of the firm's output.

Recently, GPY&R Melbourne has won plaudits for the 'Mobile Medic' campaign, including awards on the international and local level from the likes of Cannes, IAB and ADMA.
