Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has promoted managing partner Paul McMillan to managing director, while 'Dumb Ways to Die' veteran Adrian Mills joins from McCann.

McMillan has led the agency's marque CUB account since joining Clems Melbourne in 2006 as group account director, being promoted to client service director in 2008 and managing partner in 2011.

Chief executive Peter Biggs said in a statement: "Growth brings with it opportunities and challenges – and to grab those new opportunities and meet those challenges, we are adding extra firepower to the agency’s leadership."

McMillan added: "I'm really looking forward to working with Biggsy and James McGrath and the leadership team here at Clemenger to build on the extraordinary success of the agency, and continue to build world-class campaigns for our fantastic clients."

Meanwhile, McCann's Mills joins as group account director on CUB to fill McMillan's current role. Mills was part of the team on Metro Train's 'Dumb Ways to Die'.

"Adrian is one of the world’s most awarded account service people," McMillan said. "We are thrilled to have him on board, he really gets the work, and he has the added bonus of being a seriously good bloke."
