Carnival Cruise Lines has selected Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney as its creative agency, after the brand parted ways with Arnold Furnace earlier in the year.

AdNews revealed exclusively in March the brand had droppped its creative agency and was condicting a search for a new partner to handle creative surrounding the launch of Carnival Spirit in Australia in October this year.

Arnold Furnace had been appointed mid last year to help with the set up of an Australian cruise line. Globally, Carnival Cruise Lines is one of Arnold's key clients.

Saatchi & Saatchi chief executive Mike Rebelo said: “We have three criteria when we look for new clients to work with, fun, fame and future. Carnival Cruise Lines ticks all three in spades. The team can’t wait to get stuck in and make Carnival famous in Australia."

Following the launch of the ship, it will fall under the Carnival Australia corporate umbrella.

This will be the first time the company has based a ship outside of the United States year-round.

The company's media arrangements, which sit with Aegis-owned Vizeum, were unaffected by the pitch.

The pitch consultant for the pitch process was TrinityP3.
