EXCLUSIVE: The Bonds creative roster has been expanded, with the brand adding Banjo just weeks after it selected Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.

At the beginning of last month (6 September), AdNews reported that Bonds had dropped The Campaign Palace as its lead agency, appointing Clemenger BBDO to a pre-Christmas retail campaign, following a pitch.

AdNews understands that shortly after appointing Clemenger BBDO to the campaign, Bonds decided to hand a retail project to Banjo. Banjo was involved in the initial pitch process, alongside incumbent The Campaign Palace, Clemenger BBDO and The Monkeys.

Banjo was the only non-rostered agency to take part in the four-way battle and is now part of the Pacific Brands (owner of Bonds) roster of agencies. Banjo declined to comment on its appointment.

Bonds marketing manager Tanya Deans told AdNews: “Banjo is working on one campaign. Clems is also working on a major brand initiative. Bonds is a multi-dimensional brand, so it’s not unusual for us to have different agencies working on different initiatives.”
