Parkes to take DMG's top sales role

SYDNEY: Austereo’s director of sales Sydney Jenny Parkes will replace outgoing DMG group sales director Keith Thomas.
Thomas announced in March http://www.adnews.com.au/index.cfm?furl=/adnews-news/sales-director-to-leave-dmg he would leave the role of group sales director in six months time.
“Jenny’s experience and passion for radio and her proven track record, make her the right
person to lead the DMG sales effort at a time of dynamic change for the company,” said Cathy O’Connor, chief executive at DMG Radio Australia.
Parkes has been with Austereo for 12 years and was appointed to director of sales Sydney in November http://www.adnews.com.au/08763ABF-2F46-422B-A6746D3FC893B4BA 2009 along with Cathy Thomas being promoted to national sales director and Nikki Rooke as head of agency sales Sydney.
Prior to director of sales Sydney, Parkes was acting general Manager at 2DAYFM and Triple M for eight months.
Parkes will be based in Sydney and starts with DMG on 1 July 2010.

Parkes has been with Austereo for 12 years and was promoted in November 2009 to director of sales Sydney, as part of a restructure that saw Cathy Thomas being promoted to national sales director and Nikki Rooke join Austereo as head of agency sales Sydney.

Prior to director of sales Sydney, Parkes was acting general manager at 2Day FM and Triple M for eight months.

Parkes will be based in Sydney and starts at DMG on 1 July.
