Clems' double hire

WELLINGTON: Clemenger BBDO Wellington has appointed award-winning Kiwi creative duo John Plimmer and Chris Bleackley.

For the past two years the duo has been freelancing with Wellington creative agency Cake, and before that they were with Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland.

Plimmer and Bleackley have won awards around the world and were the brains behind Toyota’s famous “Bugger” campaign while at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Plimmer said the opportunity to work with Clems CEO Philip "Duster" Andrew was the selling point.

“Duster knows what it takes to do great work and he’s creating an agency with a total focus on creating outstanding ideas,” he said.

“We wanted to be a part of what he’s building.”

Andrew said the talent of Plimmer and Bleackley would add another dimension to the agency.
