SYDNEY: Virgin Mobile has shortlisted three agencies including incumbent Host to pitch for its $14 million creative account.

Publicis Mojo and 303 will battle Host for the account, after a review was kicked off last month.

As revealed by AdNews [6 November 2009, page 1], Virgin Mobile is reviewing its creative duties after nine years with incumbent Host.

In a statement, Virgin Mobile said: “Virgin Mobile is currently undertaking a formal creative agency review. We have conducted background meetings with a number of agencies - including our current lead creative agency, Host.

"We will be taking 303, Publicis Mojo and Host through to the second and final phase of our review – the strategic and creative presentations.

"We expect to select and appoint the agency by February/March 2010.”

MPG handles media for Virgin Mobile, and is not included in the current review.

Virgin Mobile spent $14.2 million on main media in the 12 months to August 2009, according to Nielsen.
