VML creative director Kieran Moroney is leaving after seven years.

Moroney was poached for senior vice president and group creative director role at McCann Health New York.

He leaves with more than 200 awards from all major international shows, including D&AD, Cannes Lions, One Show, Clios, New York Festivals, London International Awards and WARC Awards for Effectiveness.

Moroney said it’s been a real honour to play a part in driving an agency that consistently competes against the best in the business.

"I wish Jake and the wider team a tonne of good luck. I’ll always be a fan," Moroney said.

Jake Barrow, group executive creative director VML Sydney & Melbourne, said he couldn’t be happier for Kieran.

"He came here, made some of the best work in the world and leaves the agency a better place for it. As a creative he deserves all the good fortune in the world," Barrow said.

"And as a person even more. I wish him and his family nothing but the best in their new adventure.”
