UnLtd has appointed Anthea Gaffney to general manager Queensland, marking the expansion into a fourth market for the industry social purpose organisation.

Gaffney will be driving awareness and engagement across the state for a number of UnLtd’s local and national charity partners as well as supporting initiatives such as the Mentally Healthy Change Group.

Gaffney joins the team from Carat where she has spent the past seven years, most recently heading investment and partnerships in the Queensland market.

“I’m delighted to step into this new role at UnLtd. I’ve always loved the work they do for their charity partners and to support our industry," she says. "I can’t wait to start using my skills and networks to bring UnLtd’s mission to life in Queensland.

“I feel privileged to be working with a fantastic organisation with such a talented group of people, and to be able to launch this in the Queensland market is a very exciting prospect."

A Brisbane local with 20 years experience, she’s also held roles at Mitchell & Partners, Verizon Media, Fairfax Media and Domain.

UnLtd now has a presence in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.

Chris Freel, UnLtd CEO: “We’re so excited to welcome Anthea to the team, she brings so much experience and respect in the Queensland market and beyond. She’s the perfect person to spearhead UnLtd’s growth in this new market.

“Queenslanders have long been demanding to get involved with UnLtd and to further support each other. We’re very happy to bring UnLtd to life in this new market with some of our signature events and initiatives, and make an even bigger impact for young people at risk.

“We recently achieved our long-term goal of $100 million of value for our charity partners and have now embarked on an ambitious plan to double that impact over the next three years, increasing the number of young lives that we can positively impact.”
