Independent creative agency Hardhat has spearheaded the digital transition of Simply Energy to ENGIE.

Low carbon utility company ENGIE has owned Simply Energy in Australia since 2005.

The 12-month engagement has seen Hardhat lead the transformation of the digital ecosystems, including ENGIE’s website and self-service app, which have been crafted for the Australian market.

Hardhat ECD Reece Ryan said one of the many triumphs of this undertaking has been conquering the sheer scale of the project as the agency focused on a wide spanning design system with thousands of components.

"Every touch point has been considered to ensure a smooth user experience that allows ENGIE to showcase its value and sustainability credentials without interfering with the user journeys."

"The result is a beautifully crafted, fit-for-purpose, new digital ecosystem that represents the user and brand in equal measure through new journeys, illustrations, iconography and tone of voice."

ENGIE Retail GM marketing & digital experience Penny Maher said the company is thrilled to introduce its latest digital customer experience.

"This represents our evolution as a brand that is committed to accelerating the energy transition, as well as delivering exceptional outcomes for all who engage with us.”
