RyanCap has launched Tightrope, a business transformation consultancy specialising in business strategy for the digital economy.

Led by ex-Accenture strategy director Stijn De Vriendt as managing director, the agency will guide businesses who want to thrive in the digital economy, identify where to play and how to transform to win.

De Vriendt has 15 years of experience in strategy consulting, customer strategy, operating model transformation and digital transformation. He is also a strategic advisor to C-Suite and board stakeholders across various industries and geographies.

“We have created RyanCap to help businesses who want to thrive in the digital economy," RyanCap CEO Simon Ryan says.

“Tightrope is the missing piece of the puzzle to make this ambition a reality, and I’m delighted to welcome Stijn De Vriendt to the team.”

Konrad Spilva’s Shadowboxer creative consultancy will take a significant stakeholder position in Tightrope and the two businesses will work closely together.

The partnership allows Tightrope to access a broader range of capabilities from inception with access to Shadowboxer’s expertise in brand and product strategy, technology, design, and experience building new ventures.

Tightrope is connected and well-integrated into the RyanCap value chain of services, including Ryvalmedia and Foxcatcher, connecting marketing to strategy, and powered by the capability support of Shadowboxer. Tightrope is the final pillar in RyanCap’s ambition to build a new world, digital-first marketing services group with three critical service streams under one roof - business transformation consultancy, media, tech and data.

Ryan says the Shadowbox partnership and new appointment mean Tightrope is well-positioned for success.

“The business transformation sector is a $1.8b market in ANZ. Our focus is to disrupt the current market, adding capability and new ways to provide the service. Stijn and his growing team will be well-positioned, adding value to the broader team within the group. The RyanCap evolution and national rollout continue with plenty more great additions to come."

De Vriendt says he’s excited to be part of the RyanCap family.

“For me, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to move into a more entrepreneurial path,” De Vriendt says.

“My ambition is to develop Tightrope into a new-age consultancy with the best people, a differentiating culture, to have an amazing impact on the industry and turn it into something very successful.”

Shadowboxer managing partner Konrad Spilva says the partnership has many benefits.

“Whilst Shadowboxer continues to focus on consulting for and building new ventures, we will lend our product studio capabilities to help Tightrope clients as their growth and transformation strategies turn to the execution of new propositions and products. We’re confident the partnership with Stijn, and Simon, will be a formidable one,” Spilva says.
