Triton Digital’s Podcast Ranker for April 2024 has been released, with Hamish & Andy retaining the spot in both the Top 100 Ranker and Top 100 All-Australian Ranker.

The comedy duo tallied 918,977 monthly listeners and over 1.7 million monthly downloads.

Casefile True Crime remained in second with 814,928 monthly listeners, while the ABC'S ABC News Top Stories debuted at third with 668,722 monthly listeners and over 1.8 million monthly downloads.

Mamamia Out Loud fell to fourth with 547,801 monthly listeners, while Shameless dropped to fifth place with 527,448 monthly listeners.

ARN/iHeartMedia, LiSTNR (SCA) and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) remained at first, second and third in the Top Publishers rankings. ARN/iHeartMedia led the way in monthly listeners with 4,502,226 to go along with over 14.6 million monthly downloads, while the ABC totalled 23,236,469 monthly downloads, the highest for April.

ARN’s head of digital audio, Corey Layton said the iHeart team and its partners continue reaching Australian podcast listeners at scale.

"Across entertainment, education and escapism, brands continue leaning into our content at record highs," he said.

SCA executive head LiSTNR podcasts, Grant Tothill, said LiSTNR has shown audience growth across its owned and operated podcast slate as well as its partner titles.

"Hamish & Andy has again taken the number one position and LiSTNR remains the number one sales representation network," he said.

“To see audience growth of our radio and original podcasts that has materialised into a record revenue month for LiSTNR is an outstanding achievement by everyone, and along with our new LiSTNR AdTech Hub, our sales team continues to offer advertisers more and more reasons to reach different audiences at scale.”
