Tthe awareness campaign run by the NSW Electoral Commission has reached its final phase of “Go and vote!” with polling day this Saturday, March 25.

The campaign developed by boutique independent marketing agency DesignStreet included three phases:

Get Ready. Get Set. Go!

The “Get Ready” phase was based on voter preparation, awareness of changes in electoral boundaries, and registering to vote.

Get set” included awareness regarding overseas voting and postal votes.

Go and Vote!” Is the final phase that will see voters directed to voting centres across New South Wales as well as early voting options.

The campaign made use of QR codes and a key objective was directing voters to the Electoral Commission website.

DesignStreet CEO Jonty Hardy: “Our campaign proposal was successful due to its simplicity and the extent to which it provided a direct answer to the requirements of the brief. Sometimes simple solutions are the hardest to create, and we are very excited by the success of the campaign as it enters its final phase.

“There are very high KPIs that have to be achieved in terms of voter awareness, with the ultimate measurement being the turnout of voters at election time.

The campaign includes TV, radio, digital, social media, newspaper advertising and out of home executions. The bulk of the spend is in these final two weeks leading up to the election.
