Integrated creative agency MBCS has appointed creative duo Abby Clark as copywriter and Laura Murphy as art director.

Luke Simkins, group creative director at MBCS, says apointing Clark and Murphy bolsters the agency's integrated offering across creative and experience where the team has grown exponentially since MBCS relaunched in 2022.

“I first came across this talented young duo from judging Award School. Abby and Laura performed very well and definitely stood out. I have witnessed first-hand how their creative ideas cut through and make an impact. I knew early on that I wanted their smarts as part of MBCS’ creative offering," says Simkins.

“They are a talented duo and genuinely great people who are passionate about their craft and clients in equal measures. They are charged with bringing their own unique brand of creativity to the team and will share their expertise across all our clients and pillars. I can’t wait for MBCS’ clients to benefit from their nGEN perspective and bold ideas.”

Earning their creative stripes during a two-year stint at CX Lavendar after finishing AWARD School, the team was integral to the creative strategy for clients such as Headspace Australia, Westpac and nbn.

Clark and Murphy say they've worked together as a team and in separate businesses, but both agree their best work is definitely when working together.

"Joining MBCS and working with Liv, Luke and the rest of talented team we honestly feel right at home already and we love that as an agency they put people first," says Clark and Murphy.

“It’s a great culture, the clients are diverse and we can’t wait to get started.”

Murphy and Clark’s appointments are effective immediately.  Both are based in Sydney.
