MELBOURNE: Two of M&C Saatchi Melbourne's senior executives have parted company with the agency to launch a start-up backed by DDB.
M&C Saatchi Melbourne managing director David Brown and creative director Steve Crawford have left the agency to undertake other business opportunities in Melbourne once their notice period expires on 9 December 2010.
Sources told AdNews the pair are heading to a new venture backed by DDB, which declined to comment.
M&C Saatchi Melbourne has installed Jo Rozario, former client services director on ANZ, as acting managing director, following a six month sabbatical.
Commenting on Rozario's appointment, M&C Saatchi worldwide chairman Tom Dery said he was “delighted” Rosario has returned to the M&C Saatchi fold.
“Jo brings a tremendous amount of skill, experience and knowledge to our team and our clients,” Dery said. “I’m delighted she is available to assist us.”
Brown took over the reins at M&C Saatchi Melbourne in 2007 from
Naseema Sparks and is the former MD of DDB's direct marketing arm Rapp.
Crawford was the creative director of Clemenger Melbourne prior to
joining M&C Saatchi.
