The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) has appointed Havas Media after a four-way pitch.

The account, which went in-house during the pandemic (previously held by Initiative which didn't take part in the latest pitch), includes media and digital plans for the AICD brand and performance campaigns.

“As the leader of education for senior leaders within Australia there is significant growth opportunity in the online education," says Derek Craig, head of marketing for AICD. "This has been accelerated by COVID.

"We needed a partner who understood how to engage with the most successful audiences and help them to understand how we can enhance their knowledge and career path development.”

The AICD has 45,000 members including directors and senior leaders. Its magazine, Company Director, is produced by content marketing agency Medium Rare.

Virginia Hyland, CEO of Havas Media: “We are honoured to be working with AICD, an exceptional business that supports and guides the most respected and senior leaders within Australia. They are very modern in their thinking around how to engage and educate the future leaders of our country.

"We are excited to work alongside the AICD team to unlock growth opportunities for their business and by working closely together we have the ability to join content and media to develop campaigns, which drive greater success.

“Havas Media has built enormous equity over the years as a most trusted agency partner that can design and deliver experiences that most inspire meaningful connections for our clients. We love working with clients who want to challenge the market and think about how to best impact every point of the purchase journey – media, creative, content and ecommerce. We look forward to a successful 2021 partnership with the AICD marketing team.”
