Australian transit media company Go Transit Media Group and its partner Ads On Wheels have appointed acclaimed poet  Rupert McCall as its national brand ambassador.

Go Transit Media Group sales director Kirrily Hirst said: “Our bus advertising footprint covers almost every region and town in Australia while our partner Ads On Wheels has more than 30,000 subscribed Driver Ambassadors across Australia and recently launched new measurement tech powered by StreetMetrics.

“Rupert will play an important role in giving our brand even greater corporate exposure across a number of national markets including the hundreds of events each year where he delivers his incredible poetry and recitals.

“Over the years Rupert has addressed crowds from Anzac Cove at Gallipoli to Ground Zero for the New York Fire Department as well as iconic brands such as Ray White, Lindsay Fox and Hastings Deering as well as national and international sporting teams such as the Wallabies, Brisbane Broncos and the Australian Cricket team and individual athletes including Roger Federer, Harry Hopman, Rod Laver and Jonathan Thurston."

McCall said: “I’ve known and worked with the Go Transit team for well over a decade so when I was presented with this opportunity, I knew there was a lot if synergy between the way Kirrily and her team operate and my own brand values.

“For the past 20 years I have been successfully and passionately telling the Australian story and my work with Go Transit will be a natural extension of my capabilities. As a public speaker my role is to get the audience’s attention, then take then on a journey and most importantly, deliver a message that is meaningful."
