Dentsu Creative has appointed Gayle While, most recently chief digital officer at dentsu, to the newly created role of chief client officer.

The former Clemenger Melbourne CEO joins David Halter, chief strategy & growth officer and Kirsty Muddle, CEO Creative, who leads the business across Australia and New Zealand.

Muddle: “There is no-one better than Gayle for this role. There was no point looking outside the network. I’ve long been a fan of hers, if not fearful when she was the competition. She has also worked for Media Monks, and IPG. She’s a driver, she’s ingenious and she’s been at the forefront of creativity and innovation her entire career.”

Dentsu’s media business has also announced the launch of its newly formed ANZ product team supporting the global practice development as part of its continued transformation plan.

Headed by Richard Pook, chief product officer, it will support Carat, iProspect and dentsu x, and will focus on building best in class practice across the service lines to help nurture and support the craft and expertise of key specialisms.

He moves after five years with dentsu Aotearoa as GM of Platforms & Partnerships, bringing global commercial experience across data, technology and product that will supercharge the scalability of products in Australia & New Zealand.

He most recently was awarded the Interactive Advertising Bureau NZ Digital Product of the year Grand Award for D4, dentsu’s proprietary dynamic, multi-platform advertising technology that is being scaled across the region.

Sue Squillace, CEO dentsu Media: “I cannot wait to see how Richard and the team accelerate and scale our products across our client and partners portfolios. I am very excited about what his product team will achieve locally and globally for dentsu.”
