DDB Sydney has appointed Dylan Harrison as executive creative director, replacing Matt Eastwood, who is moving to DDB New York.

Harrison, a Melbourne native, will join DDB Sydney in December. Most recently, he was ECD at Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand, and before that, was with DDB London for more than 10 years.

"It’s great to have a major talent like Dylan back in the DDB family," said DDB Group Sydney managing director Chris Brown.

"We attracted amazing candidates and Dylan was the pick of the bunch. As one of the most exciting and dynamic creative leaders in the industry, he’s perfect to build on our success and takes us to the next level.

"He’s obsessed with the power of creativity in solving real business problems and creating an environment where world class ideas thrive."

In addition to three nominations and a Silver pencil at D&AD, Harrison has picked up awards at a slew of major awards shows, including gold at Cannes, One Show, Clio, ANDY, Creative Circle, Campaign Press and Eurobest.

His print ad ‘Cops’ for Volkswagen won both the Grand Prix in Cannes and Eurobest, making it the most awarded print ad in history. He repeated the double Grand Prix honours again, scooping both the Eurobest and Epica top award for the TV ad, “Singing Dog”, for Volkswagen.
