The Australasian Writers and Art Directors (AWARD) has appointed David Kolbusz, the chief creative officer at Orchard Creative, jury president of this year’s AWARD Awards.

He is recognised for bringing creative excellence to international agencies including Mother, Droga5, TBWA\Chiat Day, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, BBH and Wieden + Kennedy, and has worked on some of the biggest brands in the world including Coca Cola, Amazon, Facebook, Axe, and The Gap.

He moved to New York agency Orchard Creative in 2022 after departing Droga5 London, where he continues to produce entertaining off-kilter work for categories across automotive, beer, banking, fashion, food, tech and more.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be coming on board as the jury president for this year's AWARD Awards and can't wait to attend This Way Up: Australia's Advertising Festival of Creativity in August," Kolbusz says.

“To be given the opportunity to delve into some of the best creative work coming out of the APAC region is a real honour. I’m also looking forward to picking up some rare, sweet merch from one of Australia’s greatest-ever bands, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard."

Cam Blackley, Chair of AWARD, said AWARD has once again secured a superstar jury president.

"It’s a testament to how highly regarded the work from this corner of the world is and we look forward to welcoming David as our guest during This Way Up in August," he says
