Sydney creative studio Buffet has promoted Rose Howard to the newly created leadership position head of content.

Stepping up from content and special projects manager, the senior management role sees Howard lead Buffet’s creative content team - covering content strategy, social media management, creative campaigns, copywriting and production.

“It’s been a pleasure witnessing Rose thrive as part of our creative team since her start with us over three years ago,” co-director Sophie McComas-Williams said.

“Rose has an incredible creative instinct and a rare ability to strategically connect brands with new audiences. We’re so excited to give her the space to lead our creative team and further grow Buffet’s already robust creative offering.”

Howard joined Buffet as content editor in 2020 and has been instrumental in sculpting the content strategies for leading Sydney restaurants, including Maurice Terzini’s Icebergs Bar and Dining Room in 2022.

Prior Howard worked as senior copywriter at Endeavour Drinks Group and freelanced as a features writer for Broadsheet Sydney.

Howard said: "All those years ago, Sophie and Nikki had the foresight to jump on a seismic shift that was taking place in the digital media landscape — and ended up creating the perfect job for creatives like me, with a background in food and drink.

"In the past three years, I've gotten to work with some of the best — restaurateurs, marketers, creatives, chefs and front-of-house teams — and I’m looking forward to leading such a talented content team and help shape the future of the business.

"Expect much more of Buffet in 2023: events, new services and offerings, more creative campaigns, and maybe even a panel on AI. Watch this space.”

Co-director Nikki To said: “As a close-knit team it’s important that we cultivate a workplace that creates development pathways for our staff to grow alongside our business and Rose has proven herself as a talented creative thinker, leader and mentor for the creatives working in her team.

"This growth in her role paves the way for Buffet to execute more projects for our clients on an even deeper and more innovative level and we can’t wait.”
