Avenue C promotes Melissa Mullins to leadership team

Independent media agency Avenue C has promoted Melissa Mullins to the leadership team alongside founders Hugo and Daniel Cutrone and Will Chapman.

In her role as chief strategy officer, Mullins will continue to lead the agency's strategic product, with her remit broadening to now shape the business direction for Avenue C as it moves into its 6th year of operation.

Will Chapman, managing partner, said: "We are excited to promote Mel to this important leadership position. Mel has over 15 years’ experience solving client’s marketing challenges across the full spectrum of media and content.

"Her elevation to the leadership team will be instrumental in driving our agency's growth, bringing fresh thinking to take Avenue C into its next era."

Mullins joined Avenue C in 2020 as chief strategy officer and has been responsible for leading the agency’s strategic output and developing the agency’s brand positioning since that time.

Mullins said: “I was attracted to Avenue C for two reasons. We are seasoned craft experts who are passionate about the work.

"And, secondly, we genuinely care about families and are incredibly supportive of working parents. I have the opportunity to do my best work, be a leader and be unapologetically a mum. It’s game changing to work for a business that just ‘gets it’".

When Mullins was tasked with articulating what it is that makes the Avenue C brand unique and successful, she knew it was all about the experienced people in the business.

When founders Daniel Cutrone, Hugo Cutrone and Will Chapman established Avenue C, they had a bold vision to create an agency where only experienced craft specialists worked on client business.
