ANZ hires Hatzis to head brand, sponsorship

MELBOURNE: ANZ has appointed Kathy Hatzis, the former head of multi-brand strategy & architecture at Westpac, as head of brand & sponsorship.

Hatzis' replaces Louise Eyres who now takes on the role of group general manager, brand after performing both roles for the past 18 months.  as part of the launch of ANZ's new global brand.

She will report to ANZ managing director strategy & marketing David Lindberg starting from the end of this month.

Lindberg said: “Kathy’s appointment is a significant addition to ANZ’s marketing team in Australia. She has an outstanding track record in marketing, particularly in banking and executing multi-brand strategies.

Hatzis previously worked across the Westpac, St George, RAMS, BT and BankSA brands. She joined St George in 2005 where her responsibilities included managing the marketing planning for the St George/Westpac merger.

Prior to this Hatzis was with Optus for more than ten years. She was named the Australian Association of National Advertisers Young Marketer of the Year 2007.
