Accenture Interactive has named Mark Green as the lead for Australia and New Zealand.

Green is currently the group CEO and co-founder of The Monkeys, which was acquired by Accenture Interactive in 2017, and will maintain this role as well.

In his new role, Green will focus on continuing to grow Accenture Interactive’s business in the local marketplace, working with brands across Australia and New Zealand to transform their customer experiences.

Green says taking on the role represents the "next chapter" for Accenture's business.

"Since the acquisition of The Monkeys by Accenture two years ago, we have demonstrated the power of combining consulting, creativity and technology under one roof; this not only provides unbelievable advantage for clients, but also opens up a world of new career opportunities for employees," Green says.

The appointment follows the departure of Michael Buckley who was the managing director of Accenture Interactive for the region.

Justin Drape and Scott Nowell, also co-founders of The Monkeys, have both been appointed to the newly created roles of co-chief creative officers for Accenture Interactive, Australia New Zealand.

Both will maintain their roles as co-chief creative officers of The Monkeys.

Mark Green started The Monkeys with creative partners Scott Nowell and Justin Drape in June 2006.
