Emojis are already falling behind the times. Tinder wants it to #RepresentLove with a new emoji couple.

There might be an emoji for almost everything, but not for interracial couples.

Tinder is lobbying for an update to the Unicode emoji keyboard so that all kinds of love is fully represented.

Marcel Sydney has created a global campaign to petition for change.

People can also upload their own image and a team of designers will create a bespoke emoji based on the image.

Celebrities in interracial relationships, such as Nicole Richie, and Alexis Ohanian, the founder of Reddit, are already on board.

Wesley Hawes, creative lead at Marcel Sydney: “It’s exciting to work on a global campaign with such a positive message. And for a cool, global brand that people love. It’s an ambitious social project, but our army of designers from LA, Sydney, Germany and France, who are answering couples’ posts live, have been up to the task.”

People can sign the Interracial Couples Emoji petition on change.org. It has now reached 21,000 signatures.
