This week’s superlative work includes Lexus’s interactive press ad, Nike’s majestic Chris Paul ‘frozen moment’ and satellite writing from Japan – because sky writing’s no longer the new cool.
Number 5) Mindmeld
Kicking off is a smart new app called Mindmeld which uses speech recognition to dynamically serve up pictures, videos, maps and webpages relevant to your online conversations.

Number 4) Satellite writing
Next up in Japan, sky writing’s clearly yesterday’s cool. FITSAT-1 developed by researchers at the Fukuoka Institute of Technology have developed LEDs mounted on satellites that can emit Morse code back to Earth. According to Springwise, ‘there is currently no specific purpose for the device’, but I’m sure some canny marketer somewhere will be able to fix that…

Number 3) Lexus CinePrint
Lexus have released a video demoing their new Cineprint technology which animates a traditional press ad. The results are pretty impressive, even if the need to have an iPad at hand to slip behind it could be a minor barrier.
Number 2) 3D projection mapping choreography
Dandypark’s projection mapping live performance has been getting a lot of well-deserved praise this week. An ex Cirque du Soleil performer, he combines projection mapping with dance and acrobatics to create some breathtaking results.

Number 1) Nike Chris Paul Frozen Moment
This week’s number 1 is a very unique stunt to promote the new Jordan CP3.VI shoes. Nike created a live "frozen" moment using a chain of Chris Paul doubles in Venice Beach, CA to demonstrate how the CP3 ‘cuts through L.A’. Very cool.
