Salesforce.com has released a new tool which allows brands to listen to conversations on Chinese and Russian social networks. Why is this important? With a million users in Australia, Aussie marketers best pay attention.

The Salesforce Radian6 tool will give marketers the opportunity to listen to and engage with conversations on popular social sites like Sina Weibo and VK.com. It is estimated that there are up to one million Sina Weibo users in Australia, so the Radian6 should be a useful new tool for local marketers.

“With almost one billion [global] users on social networks like Sina Weibo and VK.com, it is crucial for multinational brands to listen to every voice,” said Michael Lazerow, chief marketing officer of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce.com. “Through Radian6, marketers will now be able to listen to conversations and engage people on the leading Chinese and Russian social networks to connect in entirely new ways.”
