Independent digital agency, Alt Agency, has launched Practice Digital to provide specialist and expert digital solutions for the health, pharmaceutical and medical industries.

Practice will be led by managing director Peter Bernard, who has 15 years experience in the pharmaceutical and medical devices sectors.

Bernard joined Practice’s parent company Alt Agency from Pfizer, where he was sales and marketing director of the Ethical BU for S-26 Infant Nutrition.

“Practice is uniquely positioned to transform the way the healthcare industry leverages digital. Our offering is unique; we are blending our deep knowledge of the health, pharmaceutical and medical industries with our strategic, creative and technical expertise from outside the healthcare sector to deliver best in class digital solutions,” said Bernard.

“Digital is increasingly becoming the most effective way for health, pharma and medical brands to connect with often fragmented and hard to reach audiences. This combined with the maze of guidelines and legislation the sector adheres to means that a specialist digital agency that knows the sector deeply is imperative. We are very passionate about this and it’s why we have launched Practice.”

Practice launches with foundation clients that include Bayer, Sanofi, Osteoporosis Australia, The Pharmacy Guild and the Australian College of Dermatologists, among others.

Bernard will lead a team that includes ex-Havas digital director Azir Yousaf as client services and operations director, technical director Lincoln Ezra, and creative director, Jon Viner.

Practice will operate from Alt Agency’s office in Surry Hills, Sydney.
