Lisa Hudson named GM at Fairfax Metro's food and wine

Fairfax Metro Media has appointed Lisa Hudson to the newly created role of general manager food and wine.

The appointment comes as part of the ongoing Fairfax Media Metro Division restructure and signals the company's focus on food and wine.

Hudson comes form the role of chief executive and publisher of Fairfax Magazines, in her new role she will explore new business opportunities and brand extensions and will influence the creation of food and wine content across all Fairfax Media Metro Division assets.

Fairfax Metro CEO Jack Matthews who was appointed in February said: “Food and wine has always played a strong, highly successful role at Fairfax Media, attracting not only an impressive audience across our platforms but also driving exceptional brand  awareness and spot-on positioning for advertisers and sponsors.”

The magazines sales team will continue to be in the integrated Fairfax Media Metro Division's sales team to drive business platforms.
