Cancer Council NSW has appointed Match Media as its master media agency, after a nine-way shootout.

The agency won the account from a three-agency shortlist, which was whittled down from nine contenders.

The agency will handle all mainstream and digital strategy planning and buying for Cancer Council communications.

Cancer Council manager of brand, marketing and communications Sarah McCarthy said: “ Match Media won this account following a comprehensive pitching process to ensure we found the right agency that could deliver the strongest possible results.

“Being a charity, it’s important for every one of our dollars to be invested wisely, and I am confident that Match Media will utilise their strategic insights, buying power, and excellent client management skills to communicate our important messages to the thousands of people affected by cancer in NSW.”

Match Media strategy director Ian Czencz said: “It’s a pleasure to partner with Cancer Council NSW in their fight against this insidious disease.”
