Ten’s The Biggest Loser: Transformed has pulled its lowest audience of the season so far, dropping below 300,000 for the first time to just 289,000 viewers.

The slim ratings follow Ten’s decision to axe the show from the Sunday night prime time slot and replace it with US series Modern Family.

The program fell from the top 20 most watched programs for the second night in a row, dropping to number 25, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

The show endured a sluggish launch to only 450,000 viewers, dropping again last Sunday to 305,000.

Up against Nine's Married at First Sight and Seven's MKR, questions remain over how much longer Ten will be able to tolerate flailing prime time audiences for the show.

Last night's most watched program of the evening was Married at First Sight with 1.19 million viewers, followed by MKR with an audience of 1.11 million. The two entertainment programs also topped the key advertising demographics.

Seven won the night with 31.7%, closely followed by Nine with 31.2 per cent, Ten third with 17.2% and the ABC with 13.6%.
