L'Oréal pitching its influencer account

French beauty giant L’Oréal Groupe ANZ is seeking to appoint a lead agency for its influencer creative account, AdNews revealed.

Multiple agencies have managed influencer marketing for the brand's different divisions. In the past Social Soup has managed its luxe brands and Magnum & Co has worked on its consumer products division.

The aim of this pitch is to consolidate the account with one agency.

BCM and Wavemaker take Griffith University accounts

Brisbane-based Griffith University has awarded independent communications group BCM its creative account and WPP-owned Wavemaker its media account, after a competitive tender, AdNews revealed.

The account has moved from creative incumbent Publicis Worldwide and media incumbent WPP-owned Essence Mediacom, Griffith University confirmed to AdNews.

R/GA retains Toyota

Creative innovation studio R/GA has retained Toyota Motor Corporation Australia’s digital marketing business following a  competitive pitch.

R/GA’s partnership with Toyota in Australia dates to 2016.

Emotive takes on Unilever's ice cream brand Weis

Independent creative agency Emotive has been appointed to lead Unilever's ice cream brand Weis.

Scott Mingl, head of ice cream ANZ at Unilever, said could there be a more perfect fit for an Aussie ice cream brand than an agency by the beach?

"We think not," Mingl said.

CHEP Network partners with Heide Museum of Modern Art

CHEP Network has been appointed Heide Museum of Modern Art’s agency partner across media, data and marketing effectiveness.

The partnership will see CHEP Media take strategic leadership of Heide’s data and media requirements, including planning and buying media across owned, earned and paid channels in a bid to showcase its acclaimed modern and contemporary art collection to new audiences.

Canteen appoints whiteGREY agency of record

Canteen Australia has appointed creative technology agency whiteGREY as its creative and media agency of record. 

And Janelle Cook has been appointed executive director of marketing and fundraising at Canteen, known for its annual  Bandanna Day campaign.

Bread Agency adds Modibodi

Absorbent apparel brand Modibodi has appointed Bread Agency to its global social media account.

Bread will help evolve Modibodi’s social presence across Australia, New Zealand, UK, France, and Germany.

VMO renews Fitness Lifestyle account

VMO and Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) have renewed their partnership, which will see VMO continue representing media within Fitness First, Goodlife Health Clubs and ZAP Fitness across Australia.

The renewed contract will see VMO and the APAC health & wellness group FLG commit to a multi-year agreement across 97 Goodlife Health Clubs, 50 Fitness First and 87 ZAP Fitness gyms, as the sole outdoor media partner.

Slingshot appointed to lead Australian media for Krispy Kreme

Creative media agency Slingshot has been appointed by Krispy Kreme for media duties across Australia. 

The independent Sydney agency will manage media strategy, planning and buying for Krispy Kreme Australia, working across its biggest campaigns in the year ahead. 

Half Dome expands remit to SEO for GMHBA and Frank Health Insurance

Independent media agency Half Dome has expanded its remit to SEO services for its client GMHBA and Frank Health Insurance.

Consolidating paid media and SEO at the agency, former Disney SEO specialist Riccardo Ilari has been appointed as the agency’s SEO Manager.
