OMD, Starcom MediaVest and Mindshare are the top three most awarded media agencies, according to the The Gunn Report for Media 2015.

OMD's Penny the Pirate campaign for OPSM was the only Australian entry to make the outstanding media campaigns list.

Australia is the fourth most awarded country (out of 42), behind the US, UK and India. The most awarded advertisers in media were Coca-Cola, Samsung and McDonald's.

"Media creativity is an effective and universal tool for brands to speak to consumers and to attain a brand's objectives by standing out in a crowded field of competitors. They have to blend technology, media and content to create a live brand experience that is easily accessible," The Gunn Report for Media editor Isabelle Musnik says.

Leo Burnett was among the top three most awarded creative agencies, according to the Gunn Report for Creatives.
