Constant technological innovation has meant staying on top of the industry’s critical issues is a constant challenge for marketers, which is why GroupM has created an education video series to answer the pressing questions from clients.

The local initiative, Tech Talks, launched to educate clients about concerns in the technology space and answer vital questions on topics, including data and walled gardens, mobile marketing, measurability and more.

GroupM Australia chief digital officer John Miskelly will host the three-minute video series with leading industry figures invited to discuss a different issue each episode.

Miskelly says: “The aim of the GroupM Tech Talks series is to provide a go-to resource for clients’ tech questions, as well as keep them informed of innovations and developments in the space.”

GroupM CEO Mark Lollback added he hopes the Tech Talks will help clients navigate the increasingly complicated media and tech landscape.

In the first episode, below, Miskelly chats with Videology director of product strategy Chris Mooney about viewability.

Speaking on the different methodology used by publishers and tech vendors, Mooney says: “Everybody has their own standards and ad tech has this problem as a whole – that’s not going to change until we see some consolidation. But alignment on the buy and sell side, as GroupM has done, is great to see.”
