Fresh from taking full ownership of food magazine Delicious, NewsLifeMedia CEO Nicole Sheffield has laid out the plans for the title.

At the relaunch of the magazine last night, Sheffield said: “I’m incredibly excited to announce the digital edition will be fully enhanced come July. We will be launching delicious.com.au in October and very quietly I’ve put aside some money for a TV pilot,” she said.

Last month NewsLifeMedia announced that it has taken full ownership of the title from The ABC, which held the license for 13 years, and Sheffield said in doing so she was achieving a career goal.

“This is a very exciting night for me and a bit of a career moment,” she said. “I had a few goals when I started at NewsLifeMedia - one was to get news.com.au to number one and we did that, the next was to rebuild Vogue and to make it very profitable and thank god we’ve done that. The other one was to tag the hell out of taste and sell it to a major supermarket for a multimillion dollar deal -  and we did that,” she said.

Sheffield went onto explain that Delicious magazine is the only Australian magazine to be licensed overseas and that New’s investment in the brand was just getting started.

“That investment means we are going to take this brand not a wonderful new direction. this is just the beginning,” she said.
