ACP restructures sales division

EXCLUSIVE: ACP Magazines is set to unveil a major restructure of its sales team, with the appointment of a sales director for brands and a sales director for agencies to oversee the national sales teams.

AdNews understands ACP advertising sales director Andrew Cook will become sales director - brand.

The restructure is the first big project for ACP's newly installed head of sales, Louise Barrett, who took over following the departure of Lynette Phillips last year amid a reshuffling of ACP which saw Phil Scott take up the reigns as managing director.

As part of the restructure, agencies will each have a sales representative acting as a single point of contact who will sell across the entire ACP portfolio.

"Agencies love it - clients hate it," a source said to AdNews, adding that group deals often lose the power of the individual masthead, but they conceded it was much more efficient from a trading point of view.

At the time of publication, ACP did not return calls.
