Following a year of spectacular work recognised in all corners of the globe, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has been crowned the top agency by office in the advertising stakes. Leo Burnett Sydney wasn't far behind, while The Monkeys claimed third place.

The competition in the past year was so fierce, there were two winners in the advertising network rankings, with Clemenger BBDO and Leo Burnett sharing the top step. Whybin TBWA Tequila joined them on the podium in third place.

MediaCom Sydney maintained its dominant position from the previous year, once again commanding first place in the media agency rankings by office. Ikon Communications took second place while OMD Sydney walked away with the bronze.

With the Sydney office in first and the Melbourne office not far behind in sixth, it's no surprise MediaCom took the double header, also claiming the top spot in the media network rankings. Starcom MediaVest and Ikon Communications were equal second.

Soap Creative stormed home first for the second year running in the digital rankings, charging up the ladder in the final round. Whybin TBWA Tequila put in a strong showing for second place while indie agency Deepend finished out the year in third place.

BMF's trophy shelf will be teetering with two new pieces of hardware as the Photon-owned agency won both direct rankings by office and by network. By office, Clemenger Proximity BBDO Melbourne and Whybin TBWA Tequila Sydney were equal second while Clemenger BBDO and Whybin TBWA Tequila tied for silver in the network table.

The AdNews Agency Rankings are based on points earned from awards won in Australia and internationally including AdNews Agency of the Year, AWARD Awards, Clios, D&AD, Cannes Lions, Effies, ADMAs, IABs, the One Show, AdFest and more.
